Commission Terms of Service

WHAT WILL YOU GET?

You will receive a high-resolution digital image, and a smaller version for web use. Because this is a digital commission, no physical product will be provided.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

• Step one: You check whether I have commission slots open. If you want to ask any questions before committing, feel free to message me.
• Step two: You send me the necessary details and payment for your commission. Payment must be made 100% up front.
• Step three: Once payment is received, I begin work. I send you a sketch, at which point you can request revisions to the overall composition. I might send multiple sketches for you to pick from.
• Step four: I send you a semi-final version, at which point you can request small revisions (e.g. tweaking colors or details).
• Step five: I send you the final commission.

TIMELINE

In general, you can expect a completed product within 3-4 weeks of starting step three. If you have a specific timeline in mind (such as for a birthday gift), please let me know up front. Rush jobs may be possible for an additional fee.

USAGE AND COPYRIGHT

• I retain copyright over the commissioned artwork, as well as the right to post it online or print it in an art book. If the artwork includes your own intellectual property, such as your original characters, you retain the rights to those and I make no claim on them.
• You may not use the commissioned artwork for profit (e.g. reselling, uploading to print-on-demand services, using as a business logo, or attaching to an NFT).
• Zine exception: If you are making a small run (less than 100 copies) of a personal zine and would like to include the artwork, this is negotiable. Please contact me to discuss.
• Pretty much any personal use is okay. Print out as many copies for yourself as you like, put it on your website, tattoo it on your neck. If you post the artwork online, including to social media, please credit Squippy, and provide a link to squippy.carrd.co where possible.
• You may not alter the artwork without my consent.
• If in doubt, feel free to ask.

CANCELLATION

• I reserve the right to cancel the order at any time for any reason. In such a case, I will issue a full refund.
• You may cancel the order any time before I begin work on it, i.e. before initial payment of the invoice.
